A landline and Skype phone combined!
At last – a Skype phone that’s not just for Skype! MAX TV’s Cordless Dual Phone is both a landline and a USB Skype phone, so Skype users no longer need to keep separate phones for regular and Skype calls.
Skype is an Internet phenomenon. With a Skype account and a compatible phone, you can make voice calls across the Internet for a fraction of the cost of a regular telephone call. For example, a ten-minute call to Australia costs just 12p! And Skype calls to other Skype phones are free.
Just download the free software from Skype’s home page at www.skype.com and plug your Cordless Dual Phone into one of your broadband-enabled PC’s USB ports and you’re away.
Best of both worlds
Yet everyone needs a regular line every now and then. That’s where the Cordless Dual Phone comes into its own – it’s not only a Skype phone, but also a landline. Just plug it into your existing phone point and you have the best of both worlds – cheap or even free calls via Skype, and a landline for if the Internet is down or excessive online traffic makes communication impossible.
Easy to use for Skype and regular calls
The Cordless Dual Phone is a DECT cordless phone (European cordless phone standard). The telephone’s handset recharges itself when on its base, and has exactly the same layout as any regular cordless phone. It’s a doddle to use too. To make a regular phone call simply dial the phone number as normal. To make a Skype call simply press the PC button and double-click the contact you want to call using your Skype software.
